TYPE: A three paneled Tibetan tsuktruk

A three paneled golden yellow tsuktruk (tsukdruk) or blanket. the individual strips having been woven on a narrow loom and then sewn together to complete the product. These minimalist weaving’s are often associated with the nomadic lifestyle, and were also made by mothers for their sons to take with them when they joined a monastic order, the yellow colour of which suggests that use for this piece. A natural dyed tightly woven example.
