TYPE: a single dragon tibetan shugden carpet — sold

An oblong Tibetan shugden seating carpet, featuring a single four clawed, red scaled dragon chasing the flaming jewel through the clouds on a dark blue background. A mix of aniline and natural dyes. (A similar example, though with a more ‘compact’ dragon, can be seen published on page 214, plate 210, in the book Tibetan Rugs by Hallvard Kare Kuloy.) Very good condition. ALREADY SOLD.
