TYPE: a Tibetan checkerboard square — SOLD

CIRCA: 1920’s

A small Tibetan square, possibly for seating use, or for the adornment of a small table. The multi coloured center field is broken into four triangles by the red axis lines, and enclosed by an angular T-shaped meander, while the outer border is a version of the so-called thunder line meander. A colourful but still attractive piece.
