TYPE: Beige / tan coloured seating carpet with six lotus flowers

A seating carpet, or shugden, depicting six various coloured lotus flowers on trellis vines floating on a tan background. Dyes appear to be all natural, and it has cotton warp and wool weft and size is 82 x 60cm. Not a fragment of a larger carpet, or missing any extremities, it was woven on the loom as shown. It has been one collectors hands since he bought from a Tibetan in the early 1970’s in Kathmandu, Nepal, and this is first time on the market since then. Overall it is a tightly woven, well coloured piece, with no repairs or reweaves and in excellent condition.
