TYPE: a Tibetan double dragon khaden

CIRCA: 1920

A  khaden with a classic Tibetan design. That is, two five clawed (Imperial) red scaled dragons each chasing their own flaming jewe through the clouds on a dark midnight blue background with a border of stylised sky, clouds and mountains motifs, with the sacred Mount Meru rising in the center on all four sides. A mixture of aniline and natural dyes, and a very good example of the genre.
