TYPE: A ‘GAU BOX’ / AMULET DESIGNED KHADEN

CIRCA: early 1900’s

A lovely khaden with the so-called ‘gau box’ or amulet design interlocking throughout the main field. A ‘Greek T’ main border is itself bordered by a narrow red pile border mimicking the often seen red felt border so beloved by Tibetans on their carpets. Primarily natural dyes and what appears to be un-dyed wool (for the ‘white crosses’).
