A Tibetan khaden with three geometric medallions of various colours on a black center-field with multiple borders. Starting from the center field they are coloured yellow, then beige, maroon with tigma’s (crosses), blue, black with a simple T meander, pink, blue and then finally a red outer border. The dyes are a mix of natural and aniline and the colouring is solid, the warp is cotton while the weft and the thick pile are hand-spun wool. It is from the later part of the early 1900’s, probably circa 1930, and is in very good condition overall.
