Attractive Central Asian Uzbek Tartari saddle (storage) bag. Pleasing combination of colours with the blue being especially attractive. Constructed using a combination of plain weave, interlocking tapestry weave and the twinning technique. The very top panel is separated by slits where a cord could have been feed through to secure the contents. Made in the early 1900’s it has what appear to be goat hair warps and wool weft, all natural dyes and the size is 71cm x 75cm. It is in good condition.
