Set of two matching Baluch balishts, or cushions from, Afghanistan. The previous owner had them stuffed as to look like pillows with rough foam pieces, which has since been removed, so they now lay flat. One end of each remains open so the could easily be restuffed with more desirable material if so desired. Condition is very good with minimum wear to the soft pile and the colours are solid. Wool warp and weft, made pre 1950, probably sometime during the 2nd quarter of the 1900’s. Altogether an attractive matching pair.
